I’m in my fifties and have been an aviation enthusiast since 1989, when I took my first pictures at Copenhagen Airport. I still remember the reason I went to the airport: I wanted to see what the airplane I was going to fly on looked like. During the few hours I spent watching and taking photos, I overheard the “old” spotters talking about what they expected later in the week. It sounded interesting, and I drove out to the airport again two days later, just to see a lot of photographers talking about the special color schemes the planes had. Over the next couple of weeks, I joined the plane spotting community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Would I recommend others to go to Copenhagen Airport to photograph planes? Yes, under normal circumstances you will see all movements. The usual pattern is that landings take place from either 22L or 04L and take off on 22R or 04R<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When editing my images, I’ve used the following workflow as often as possible: I edit an image in an older version of Lightroom<\/strong> and then export it to an equally older version of Photoshop<\/strong>. If the result is good, I go back to Lightroom and copy the settings to the next 10-15 images. This saves a lot of time, but in some cases, it doesn’t create a perfect image, just a good one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On my individual blogs, there’s a difference in image dimensions depending on when the picture was taken. The oldest galleries have an image dimension of 1200×800, while the newest ones are 1800×1200. Unless I find a lot of extra time, I have no intention of changing this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do I still have some objectives to achieve? Yes, my intention is to visit Tokyo Narita and Tokyo Haneda in Japan, and I’ve never given up on the idea of combining a trip to Ted Stevens Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, with Los Angeles Airport.
